Attention all Current Liturgical Ministers & Catechists:(This includes all Daily and Weekend EM’s, Lectors, Ministers Of Hospitality, Musicians, those who teach in our R.E. programs and our school)
Each year, the parish hosts a day of retreat and spiritual renewal for its Liturgical Ministers. This year, we are opening up the day to all Catechists and we are especially pleased to announce that Tom Booth, a Grammy-award winning artist, gifted composer, and musician, will lead the retreat. Tom has written countless songs for prayer, worship, liturgy and personal reflection. A few titles that may be familiar are: “I Will Choose Christ,” “Sacred Silence,” “Can We Love” and “Here I Am.” He has composed and performed songs for Mother Teresa and Pope Saint John Paul II. Tom will bring his powerful performing style to the retreat mixing story, song and prayer to create a memorable day for all in attendance. The day will conclude with a Commissioning Service of all Liturgical Ministers and Catechists.
The Ministry Retreat will be held on Sat, Feb 10, from 8:30am-12:00pm at Anderson Hall. The retreat is open to all ministers and catechists throughout the parish and school. This retreat is offered in collaboration with the Diocesan guidelines for “Lay Faithful” in-service, suggesting volunteer ministers complete at least six hours of training each year. Prayerfully consider attending this inspirational retreat.
Blessings— Craig Colson
