Coach Karl was born and raised in Chico, CA.  Coach comes from a farming family.  Behring Orchards farms walnuts and almonds and this explains why some times coach goes a little nuts!!  After graduating from the University of Redlands;   Karl spent seven years teaching tennis at the Point of Squaw Peak.   Karl loves (Divine) Comedy, acting and coaching all the sports, therefore, he decided to go into Elementary Physical Ed.  Karl spent 9 years at St. Gregory School and the last three at St. Francis.   Karl still has not won any championships in the CYAA, but there is always hope for the future.  In 2007-2008 his 5th grade basketball team was runner-up and he and Coach Fox’s 8th grade girl’s basketball team made it to the final four. Coach has been an A.I.A certified basketball official for the last fifteen years.
