Fifth Grade Math
Welcome to fifth grade math. We have an exciting year ahead learning about fractions, percentages, decimals, and renaming each. Geometry and probability will also be another adventure. Of course the old basic multiplication facts will be reviewed and used in both multiplication and division. So get yourself all set by making sure you know all of your addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division facts. |
Fifth Grade Science
Science for fifth graders will include life science in that we will be learning about how we classify all living organisms, how all living things live and interact with one another, and how our skeletal systems, muscular systems, and nervous systems work. Physical science will include the topics of chemistry, forces, and simple machines. Earth science will have us learning about the earth and the objects that make up our solar system. Get you brains ready for some problem solving as we work with the Scientific Method. |
Fifth Grade Religion
The focus of fifth grade Religion will be studying each of the seven sacraments and identifying the important role each plays in our faith lives. Over the course of the year, we will be identifying the parts of the Bible, and learning about the celebration of the liturgy. Our service project will lead the fifth graders to a better understanding of the motto, "Go out and be a kid for others". |
