These students create two dimensional works of art.
Middle School - 4th, 5th and 6th Grades
In middle school students are given projects centered around a specific subject matter, theme, technique or artist. They then create individual solutions to the projects and are asked to explain their choices which is the beginning step to writing artist statements. These students begin learning the process of Art Criticism which will develop the ability to extract meaning from any artwork that he/she views. The 5th and 6th grade students create artworks to be displayed in our student exhibit at the Phoenix Art Museum for December.
