Liturgical
Altar Guild: Volunteers always needed to help clean and dust the altar and sacristy. Very light work. In addition, we need help laundering the purificators and altar linens. A most congenial
group to help with this ministry. Please contact our Sacristan Joe Petrosino at the parish office (602)279-9547.
Altar Servers: The altar servers help to create an atmosphere of reverence during the procession to the altar and assist the priest and deacons during all Liturgical services, including
Weddings, Funerals, and other special liturgical functions. Training is available for the altar servers. Adults (men and women) are most welcome to help with the special ministry. Please
contact Donnamarie Burris at altarserver@sfxphx.org
Art & Environment: This Ministry is involved in making St. Francis Xavier and its related “activities" prayerful and aesthetically beautiful. When you attend a Parish
function and notice the beautifully decorated tables or artistic floral arrangements, you are looking at some of the efforts of this ministry. If you would like to help out in this endeavor,
please contact Bob Burg, the Arts and Environment Chairperson at ( 602) 279-9547.
Eucharistic Ministers: Eucharistic Ministers assist the priest in the distribution of the Body and Blood of Christ at Mass. The men and and women of this ministry must complete a training
session prior to serving. Help is always needed. If you would like to serve in this rewarding ministry, please contact Patti Serrano at eucharisticministers@sfxphx.org
Lectors: These men and women proclaim the Liturgy of the Word at Mass. St Francis Xavier is expanding its lector ministry. Jr. High, high school and young adults are most welcome. If
interested, please contact Ed Donahue at lectors@sfxphx.org
Ministers of Hospitality(Ushers): The Ministers of Hospitality are our "welcoming ministry". Joining this ministry is a great way to become involved with our Church community
and become better acquainted with our fellow parishioners. Some of the ways that you can help in this ministry are: greeting parishioners as they are entering the church, making sure
everyone has a copy of the bulletin as they leave, assisting in taking up the monetary collections, directing traffic during communion, and keeping an eye out for any unexpected situations
that might occur during Mass. Volunteers are always welcome. If interested in joining this friendly ministry, contact Conrad Trybus at ushers@sfxphx.org
