Prison Ministry, A Corporal Work of Mercy

Volunteer for prison ministry and help us teach inmates to pray and try to develop an appreciation for the Eucharist.

At Federal, we pray the Rosary, conduct Holy Communion services on Thursday Evenings at 5:15-7 with women inmates and/or pray the Rosary with both the men and women inmates on Saturday at 11:30-2. You could also volunteer to help with weekly Bible study with the men inmates on Thursday 6:00-8:00 PM. Commitment: 1 to 5 times per month (you decide) except Bible Study. Contact: Char

At State and County, we do Bible study on current readings with historical and geographical side notes, answer questions related to the reading: conduct Holy Communion services. Commitment: 1 to 8 times a month plus one-on-one counseling per personal request. Contact: Mary Ann.

You can help by donating yarn for the inmates to crochet items for the homeless or by making finger Rosaries (we will teach you) for inmates or you can donate toward the purchasing of supplies to help inmates make Rosaries. You can also help by adopting a prisoner in prayer and praying for the success of our prison ministry.
